In accepting the responsibility for caring of children in our centre, we aim:
To provide a safe, secure, stimulating, educational and challenging environment in a home-like atmosphere that promotes the development of healthy, happy children.
To provide a play-based program, offering each child a selection of creative activity opportunities, both indoor and outdoor, to enhance growth in their cognitive, physical, social and emotional development.
To provide an environment that allows children to gain a sense of autonomy in order to become independent thinkers, achievers and decision and choices makers.
To provide a friendly secure place that meets each individual's needs and interests, in order to enable children to reach their full potential.
To provide a school readiness program with special school related skills such as recognizing their names, learning colours and shapes and exercising fine motor skills like manipulating play materials and cutting
with scissors.
To keep and maintain an observation record for each child in every developmental area; to evaluate their progress; and to plan follow-up challenging activities which address the child's weakness in certain areas
and develop their strengths.
Through positive reinforcement children will be able to develop problem solving skills. To provide continued exposure to differences in cultural and economic background and thus develop and enhance tolerance of
others.
To provide an open network between our staff, families and local community which will create a sense of belonging to the centre, ensuring positive contribution to the planning and conduct of each child's
development and to the centre.
To create a link between home and the centre by providing a friendly, comfortable contact between staff and parents at arrival and departure, through greetings and both formal and informal communications.
To employ staff who are caring and understanding of children's needs, have a positive approach, are knowledgeable about developmentally appropriate safety and nutrition practices.
To maintain a high standard of team members by broadening their knowledge of child development and behaviour management through formal courses, in-services, and clear communication between staff members and other available sources.
To provide a management interested in, and caring for children, who are approachable and accessible to parents, trustworthy in dealing with staff and organized and competent in their business management.
To be sensitive and responsive to the cultural, social and linguistic needs of all families, we will try as much as possible to integrate part of each family's culture into our programs.
To encourage children to value, accept and comfortably interact with diverse people through planned activities, excursions and community access.
